Octave and Mary Jo Levenspiel

Tributes

How did you know Octave? Was Dr. Levenspiel your Chemical Engineering professor? Did you play Chinese chess with him? Were you ever fooled by his “I’m the eighth son” story? Some of you probably want to know if ANY of his stories were true. A short biography was written about Tavy, if you really want to know how unique his life was. Visit Lulu.com.

We’d love to know how Octave touched your life.

I personally met Professor Octave Levenspiel at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus when I was studying my masters degree in Chemical engineering. He was invited to a series of conferences and workshops on Chemical Reactors, He was very good-natured and caring, he signed my book on the classic Chemical Reaction Engineering, which is a Spanish edition. In all my life as a student that was my guide book. Thank you Dr. Levenspiel
