I am so sorry to hear about the death of Dr. Levenspiel. He was a great teacher, a thinker, a wonderful individual who will always be remembered as the founder of modern chemical reactor engineering education. I still remember the first time I met him in his office in the fall of 1987. He was so welcoming and kind. In the classroom his lectures were exciting. He made us feel proud for becoming chemical engineers. From his classroom to department picnics at Otter Creek, he brought warmth and joy to all the students. He was a great man whose memories I cherish.
